VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH (VDI TZ) processes your data on behalf of the BMUV.

The first purpose of data processing is to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis for data processing is the consent of the data subject to data processing for the above-mentioned purposes pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 lit. a. GDPR.

Categories of data collected: Mandatory for the processing of your request are exclusively your email address and your message. If you wish, you can additionally transmit your surname and first name for the same purpose and for a possible personal address.

The second purpose is the monitoring of the activities in the project "Competence Center for Resource Efficiency". The monitoring serves the project reporting to prove the proper expenditure of public funding, the external project evaluation to analyze the impact of the use of public funding and the internal readjustment and optimization of the portfolio of offers. The categories of data processed correspond to those of purpose 1.

The legal basis for the data processing is the necessity for the performance of a task that is in the public interest according to Article 6 para. 1 lit. e. GDPR. Specifically, it is necessary for this implementation mechanism of the German resource efficiency and sustainability policy to document the activities carried out on behalf of the BMUV.

For hosting the website on which the contact form is integrated, VDI TZ uses the services of the order processor Hetzner Online GmbH. Since the collected data is transmitted via this service, Hetzner Online GmbH is indicated here as the data recipient.

The duration of the storage of personal data for the above-mentioned purposes is primarily determined by the duration of the communication with VDI ZRE resulting from your contact request. After any monitoring-relevant information has been extracted, the personal data will be deleted no later than one year after the end of the project period of the "Competence Center for Resource Efficiency" project. Any data stored later for monitoring purposes is anonymized, i.e. no longer personal, and in this form is no longer subject to the provisions of the GDPR. Such data is also passed on to any external evaluators strictly without reference to individuals and in anonymized form.

All persons affected by the processing of data for the above-mentioned purposes have the right to obtain information about the personal data concerning them (cf. Art. 15 GDPR) as well as the right to correct (cf. Art. 16 GDPR) or delete (cf. Art. 17 GDPR) or restrict the processing (cf. Art. 18 GDPR) or object to the processing (cf. Art. 13 para. 2 lit. c GDPR) as well as the right to data portability (cf. Art. 20 GDPR).
